Last day to apply for 2023-2024 School Year is Friday, April 26th!

We are still accepting any and all applications for Fall of 2024!

  • Our vision is to transform education by providing multiple innovative pathways for student success.

  • To Break through barriers in education.

  • Not all students find success in a traditional brick and mortar school or they are searching for options that provide flexibility to meet other family needs or schedules.

We understand that all students have an individual approach to learning and MEWA exists to provide options for your child's educational needs.

As schools start to open and offer hybrid learning, we understand that some families may wish to return to their home district.

We greatly appreciate all of you that choose to stay with MEWA. We are so proud of our students and staff. Together we make up an amazing organization!

We also want to ensure you are equipped with the information to make an informed decision regarding your student's education. Oregon state law puts a limit on the number of students able to enroll in virtual schools statewide. The current cap is 3% of a district's enrollment may be enrolled in a virtual school outside their home district. Most all of Oregon schools have met this cap and will deny enrollment to a virtual charter school.

If you choose to return to your district school and then later decide to return to online learning, the district will most likely deny your transfer as they are at the 3% limit. We have had families appeal this denial with ODE, but to no avail. We are unable to enroll students in these districts at this time.

If you are unsure of your next steps, please reach out to us to see if there are options we could provide to meet you or your child's educational needs.

Thank you for your continued support of MEWA!

  • We, at Metro East Web Academy, care about the whole child. We want your children to receive a great education, but we believe that in order for children to succeed in academics, they need to be well socially and emotionally first. Because this is so important to us, we incorporate lessons into our homeroom classes taught by our counselors. These lessons include how to tackle stress in our lives, how to manage anxiety, how to build healthy relationships, and how to understand the perspectives of others. We continue to hone these lessons and believe that through interactions with professionals, our students will grow socially and emotionally.
